Our Work Speaks Louder

Every building's got a story - we're just here to make sure it's told right

Look, we've spent the last decade getting our hands dirty with everything from crumbling Victorian facades to ultra-modern glass boxes. Each project's been a learning curve - sometimes steep, occasionally frustrating, but always worth it. Here's what we've been up to.

Victorian Heritage Restoration

Thornhill Manor Restoration

Year: 2022

This 1890s beauty was practically falling apart when the owners contacted us. Spent 18 months bringing back the original crown moldings, fixing the foundation without destroying the character, and yeah - we found some cool stuff behind the walls. The trick was matching materials that don't even exist anymore.

Contemporary Residential Design

Lakeshore Modern Residence

Year: 2023

Client wanted floor-to-ceiling windows facing the lake but didn't wanna freeze in winter. We engineered a solution with triple-pane glass and radiant heating that actually works. The cantilever was a headache to calculate, but damn if it doesn't look good.

Residential
Sustainable Commercial Building

Junction Tech Hub

Year: 2023

Four-story office space that's basically net-zero energy. Took us forever to get the solar panel integration right without making it look like a science experiment. Green roof's doing great - even got some birds nesting up there now, which wasn't part of the plan but hey, we'll take it.

Commercial Sustainable
Heritage Warehouse Conversion

Distillery District Brewery Conversion

Year: 2021

Old brewery from the 1920s turned into mixed-use retail and office space. Those exposed brick walls? Original. The massive timber beams? Also original - and structurally sound, which was lucky. Had to fight hard to keep the old loading dock doors, but they're now the main entrance and people love 'em.

Passive House Design

Rosedale Passive House

Year: 2022

First Passive House certified home we've done, and honestly? The detail work was insane. Every window seal, every joint had to be perfect. Client's heating bill is now less than their Netflix subscription though, so worth it. The ventilation system's so good you barely notice it's there.

Residential Sustainable
Urban Plaza Design

Kensington Market Public Plaza

Year: 2023

Community wanted a gathering space that didn't feel too corporate. Worked with local artists, integrated some funky seating that doubles as planters, and made sure there's enough shade because Toronto summers aren't getting any cooler. It's become a real hang-out spot, which was the whole point.

Urban Planning Commercial
Church Restoration

St. James Cathedral Spire Restoration

Year: 2021

Working on a 150-year-old spire that's a city landmark? No pressure. We brought in heritage masons who knew the old techniques, sourced matching limestone from the original quarry (still operating, somehow), and dealt with pigeons. So many pigeons. The copper work alone took six months, but it'll last another century easy.

Heritage
Mixed Use Development

Queen West Mixed-Use Development

Year: 2022

Retail on the ground floor, condos up top, and a rooftop terrace that gets used year-round. Balancing the noise concerns between retail and residential was tricky - lots of acoustic engineering involved. The corner design breaks up that typical box look most new builds have around here.

Residential Commercial
Green Infrastructure Project

West Don Lands Green Corridor

Year: 2023

Pedestrian walkway that doubles as stormwater management - basically a really pretty drainage system. Native plants handle the water naturally, pathways are permeable, and we added lighting that doesn't mess with the local wildlife. It's infrastructure that doesn't look like infrastructure.

Urban Planning Sustainable
Urban Townhouse Development

Leslieville Row Houses

Year: 2022

Six townhomes on a narrow lot - the geometry was a puzzle. Each unit's got its own character while still feeling cohesive as a row. Private back gardens, shared front courtyard, and we managed to squeeze in parking without it dominating the design. They sold before we finished construction, which felt pretty good.

Residential
Modern Office Building

Liberty Village Corporate HQ

Year: 2023

Client wanted something that screamed "we're innovative" but also had to be practical for 200 employees. Open concept with enough quiet spaces that people can actually focus. The atrium brings in natural light three floors down, and the automated shading system keeps it from turning into a greenhouse at 3pm.

Commercial Sustainable
Heritage Home Renovation

Cabbagetown Victorian Addition

Year: 2021

Adding to a heritage home without making it obvious? That's the challenge. Modern extension at the back gives them the open kitchen they wanted while the front stays true to 1880s charm. The transition between old and new is this glass connector that honestly looks cooler than we planned.
